From the BE Administration Interface the administrator will have access to a new module called “Geo Fencing”. This module can be used at Group Level or Individual Device Level. The Geo Fencing module allows the administrator to define a geographic area where the device and/or its sensitive data can be used. If the device moves outside of this area the BE Client will automatically activate a preset local security policy. The device can also be preset so that when it moves back inside the allowed geographic location the predefined security actions can be automatically reversed. The BE administrator can set the fence by selecting areas on a map. The Fence can be street level, state level, country level etc. The level of accuracy is typically 10-15 meters. For example you could set the Geo Fence for Dublin. If the device leaves Dublin, the BE local security commands will execute. The administrator can also set “No-Go Zone(s)” for a device. If a device enters a No-Go Zone the pre-defined local security commands will execute.
