How Does Corporate IP Fencing Work?

The Corporate IP Fencing Security mode works by pre-configuring a security policy on the B.E. Server for each target Data Device with the B.E. Client agent installed. This pre-configured security policy can configure the B.E. Client on the Data Device to perform any of the Core Security Commands on the device should it go on a network not on the pre-defined IP address(es) list.

• From the BE Administration Interface the administrator has access to “Local Fencing” Admin. This module can be used at Group Level or Individual Device Level. L
• The Local Fencing module allows the administrator to define a set of IP addresses that the device is allowed on.
• If the device moves on to a network where it can no longer communicate with these IP addresses the BE Client will automatically activate a preset local security policy.
